Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.

30fps. They\'ll be lucky if they can maintain it.

LOL, all of you would be lucky to get that on the PC unless you have a 9800 pro and UP(Keep in mind i am referring to all settings max, for supreme quality)

R420  BABY!!! GO ATI!!

FPS on consoles suck.
I\'ll enjoy Doom3 and HL2 on PC with a mouse+keyboard, 60 fps, higher res than 640 times 480. In other words, the way they\'re meant to be experienced.

It\'s a mirror image... it\'s supposed to be backwards.   Don\'t you know how a mirror works?

OH YEAH!!!

OOOPS!

:nut:
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

NVIDIA, a 5950 would be the better card for DOOM III.  It dominated the ATI\'s in DOOM III benchmarks.

*pets his 5950

Theomen, listen I am a big time computer tech.

Now the reason why DOOM 3 scored higher on the 5950 was because when Doom 3 was in the begining of development, Geforce 3 was NVIDIA\'s new card. Point is, at that time NVIDIA was the king with almost no competition, therefore they were setting the standards at the time. Carmack when developing doom 3 coded the game specifally with NVIDIA hardware in mind, shaders, etc.. using the NV code path\'s.
Also those benmarks are in no way a means to determine the performance of the card considering those bench\'s where run on tweaked(optimized) drivers by NVIDIA to make it look better for doom 3.

5800xx-5900xx seriers of NVIDIA cards are pure crap, only thing they are goos for is frying your eggs on them. If you are not concered with Image Quality, Driver cheats, no full support of fp24(NVIDIA uses mix mode fp16-32) then NIVIDA all the way.

I\'lll stick with hardware that produces qulaity, thank U

Now this march ATI and NVIDIA should be releasing info on the NV40 and R420.

We will see if NVIDIA has pulled there socks up.

but my whole point was that we do not know if the 5050 is better, Since the driver used were optimized, Sally!

On a side not, what in GOD\'s name possesed you to purchase a 5950 when there was the 9800Pro????????????????

Nvidia Snags Doom III Endorsement

For what it\'s worth, opinions of which vary widely, the GeForce FX series of graphics cards will be the recommended hardware 3D accelerators for Doom III, Nvidia and id Software announced today. The announcement brings Nvidia roughly even with rival ATI in the hardware marketing wars, with ATI\'s Radeon cards already endorsed by Valve Software, makers of the upcoming Half-Life 2.
According to Activision\'s current timetable, Doom III will see release for PC sometime in the second quarter of 2004, with the Xbox version to follow by the end of the year.
