Predicting Wrestlemania XX
« on: March 09, 2004, 11:21:38 AM »
I\'m going to Wrestlemania XX and Monday Night Raw this week, so I\'m pretty hyped.  If anyone cares to join, I thought I\'d take a stab at predicting the winners of the matches. From what I gather, 12 matches have been signed and the show starts on PPV at 7 p.m. EST.

U.S. Title - Big Show (c) vs John Cena
I have to go with John Cena on this one. A few months ago I thought Cena would be working with the Rock here. And lately, Big Show hasn\'t done anything with the title.  Cena is climbing the ladder.

WWE Tag Team Titles - Rikishi (c) & Scotty Too Hotty (c) vs Bashams vs APA vs World\'s Greatest Tag Team
I was going to predict Scotty and Rikishi retain, but I think the bad guys need to win, so I predict the World\'s Greatest Tag Team take the belts and start a feud with the APA.

Women\'s Title - Victoria (c) vs Molly Holly - Molly\'s hair is on the line
This one\'s tricky since Victoria just won the title, but Molly is risking being shaved bald. I predict Victoria retains and Molly spends the next few months wearing a wig. Should be fun.

World Tag Team Titles - Rob Van Dam (c) & Booker T vs La Resistance vs Dudley Boyz vs Cade & Jindrak
RVD and Booker just got the titles, and I hope they keep it. I\'d like to see them retain because RVD rules and they\'re just getting started, heh.

Rock and Sock Connection vs Evolution - 2 on 3 Handicap Match
I don\'t see how they can deny Rock and Foley a win here, so I\'ll predict Rocky and Foley beat Orton, Batista, and Flair with a People\'s Elbow and Socko and any other silly signature move they can think of.

Christian vs Chris Jericho
Christian wins when Trish inadvertantly costs Jericho the win.

Undertaker vs Kane
The Dead will rise again! I\'m going to scream my head off for the Taker\'s return. Deadman is about to go, what, 12-0 at Wrestlemania?

Goldberg vs Brock Lesnar w/ Stone Cold Steve Austin as Guest Referee
One stunner and an F-5 and Goldberg is down for the count. Though I see Austin taking a shot at both guys, I think Brock will win.  Besides, Goldberg is probably leaving the WWE anyway...

Torrie & Sable vs Miss Jacky & Stacie Kiebler - Playboy Evening Gown Match
Who cares. I\'m hoping for a draw and both teams are stripped.  Since we\'ve already seen Torrie and Sable naked, it\'s time to strip Jacky and Stacie.  Torrie and Sable win.

Cruiserweight Title - Cruiserweight Open with Chavo Guerrero (c), Jamie Noble, Rey Mysterio, Ultimo Dragon, Billy Kidman, Tajiri, Akio, Funaki and two more...
It sucks I can\'t think of the last two guys, but this match is going to be off the charts. I\'d like to see Kidman or Ultimo Dragon win it so the WWE can make them prime time players.

WWE Title - Eddie Guerrero (c) vs Kurt Angle
Is Eddie a transition champ? It\'s hard to decide. I\'ll give the nod here to Eddie. Latino Heat is just getting started.

World Title - Triple H (c) vs Shawn Michaels vs Chris Benoit
Here\'s another one that could go any way. These are all hard to predict. My gut tells me Triple H retains, but I say they\'ll take a chance and give it to Benoit. Then he can fight it out with HBK next month before handing the belt back to his Lordship Triple H, heh.

Whoever wins, I\'m going to have a blast!

big show vs cena--john cena all the way! i like his charcater & he\'s paid his dues already,..fued with undertaker (lost) with lesnar (lost) plus he gained alot of popularity since then.

rikishi & scotty retain--whatever happened to grand master sexay?! :p i think that\'s the kings son or nephew.

rob van damn & booker retain--book was climbing up that ladder with the intercontinental belt until his injury--those skits with him & golddust were classic :D

rock & sock beat evolution--don\'t expect flair to take to many bumps if any (pinched nerve in his neck)

victoria retains the belt- she\'s a little manly in the face..just a tiny bit..but she\'s still sexy as hell tho..i\'d wax it!

jericho defeats christian--hopefully they\'ll make jericho crack jokes like how he used to earlier in his career,..he\'s a bit too serious now. And break off the skit with him & trish, relationships story lines are wack! (matt & lita)

undertaker defeats kane--this cat comes back as the man from the darkside..i liked him better that way anyway.

goldberg defeats brock--austin gives brock a stunner for good measure

playboy match..is this a match? :p

cruiserweight title--i have no idea, mysterio already had it a couple of times already..have no idea who gets this one

eddie defeats kurt--he\'s not gonna beat kurt straight up..there\'s gonna be some controversy to the ending

world title-- triple h retains..why does this cat always have to have a three way situation when it comes to the title? Answer: because trips can\'t hold a decent match one on one with anybody since his quad injury..yeah he\'ll give up the title but a few months later it\'s back around his waist..being married to steph has it\'s priviledges..

Sorry, I didn\'t read your post.  That\'s a policy that typically works well for me.  Unless of course you quote me, then I have to see what\'s up.  ;)

I think the person that died you were thinkikng about was Owen Hart.  DUring his ring entrance he was supposed to be lowered to the ring by a rope and the latch failed and he fell to his death.
