commodore 64 is not a pc.. grrrrrr.

I started with a 386 SX 33. Man that was old. Ended up with a 486DX2 66 or something like that. Then got a P1 100.   I had a commodore 64 too. ;)

60 GB HD
Radeon IGP 345m
CD-RW/DVD Rom drive, not sure on the speed

I\'ve had two computers before this, both desktops.  One was around 1 Ghz, one was around 500 MHz.

It is a pc.. but imo, not compared to todays stardard of pc.
Which is upgradable hardware. I, like alot of people see the c64 more like a console rather then pc. Its a pre-IBM pc. :)

Oh forgot to answer how many computers I have owned...

Atari 400
Atari 800
Apple IIc
Commodore 64
Tandy 286 something that ran at a blazing 8Mhz with a 10 mb HD
Packard Bell 486 running at 60Mhz
AMD running at 266Mhz
Gateway P2 400Mhz Voodoo 3 video card!  I miss that card.
Alienware P3 866Mhz Geforce 2 GTS - only system that is eclipsed by the Packard Bells in terms of crappiness.

Now I have my current system.

Soul I would differ on the dual cpu\'s. If id keeps their pattern up they will offer dual cpu support again for Doom3. Either way dual cpu\'s make life alot better. Even if a game does not support duals there are processes still running in the background. Though most games will not use both cpu\'s quite a few apps will use it.

some applications are ok, depending on if they use SMP. NUMA etc. A few games don\'t justifiy it and a lot of games will suffer from it, rather then have improved performance. You\'re better of getting a Amd64 cpu + OS to match..

I am giving serious thought to the new AMD XP 64 - but until Windows truly takes advantage of it, I\'m just not sure I want to invest the cash into it.
