Im thinking about getting a new amp for about $400. I got a schecter omen 6 so I want something that will go nicely with it.

How\'s everyones playin goin? I got 2x better and can play Black Dog and mostly all RATM except for the parts with crazy distortions.

I haven\'t played around with modern amps in a while.  I live in an apartment, so I can\'t really own an amp without pissing off my neighbors.

However, my brother in law is a professional musician, and I\'ve played with his Line 6 amps on a couple occasions.  I think he had a "Flextone" of some sort and it was pretty cool.  I would give that a try, or the "Spider" http://www.line6.com/products.html?category=1

If I were shopping for an amp, I would go to the biggest guitar store you can find, and try out everything.  That is the only way to decide what you like for yourself.

I actually just got a brand new Fender Fat Strat for my birthday. I\'m very pleased with it. It makes POS guitar I had been playing seem like a toy.

I\'ve dedicated myself to learning every AC/DC song.

Heh.  If you like AC/DC, you should have bought a Gibson SG.  :)

I\'m a Fender man myself, so well done.

Line 6\'s are the only ones iv messed with cuz my friend has it and it kicks ass. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/sid=040323194758068008131191920281/g=guitar/s=amps/search/detail/base_pid/482245/

He has the 75 watt one though but he didnt have the money to get anything bigger. The effects in it, i think, are the reason they are good but i just like messing with it and you can get a lot of different sounds out of it. http://www.harmony-central.com/ is a good place with reviews.

Oh yea..and iv heard Crate has had some problems so if you\'re thinking of them you might want to think twice. Nice guitar BTW

my amp cable is a mess by itself

If you guys could chose to play like anyone you want who would it be? I would want to be like Tom Morello, just because of the melodies he makes and cool solos.

I dont play guitar, I can play a few theme songs, and unnamed riffs.

But I do have a guitar, and play it every once and a while, my friend has a bass I play, and know a few lines on.

But if I could be like one guitarist it would have to be Satriani, or the John Petrucci (from Dream Theater):

He is just badass.
