I don\'t care about the online play to be honest, I don\'t have broadband anyway. Looks very good though.

Looks a lot better than number 4, which looked pretty good in itself.

Who said it won\'t have online play?  Recent reports indicate that it will and that\'s why it\'s taking so long to come out...

There\'s an interview with the developers on game science, and the official press release didn\'t mention online play either.

I see what you mean.  The original article HAD online play listed as a feature, but without using the HDD and now that entire line from the article has been edited out due to clarification purposes.  That\'s unfortunate, but with the game looking this good coupled with how good and fun AC04 was, I am not dissapointed at all.  Sometimes, games are just as worth it with or without multiplayer.  :)  I supposed that\'s why we all love our Zeldas, Metroids, Dooms, Half-Lifes, Metal Gears, Halos, and so many others.  :)

But It would have been great if you could play Ace Combat 5 multiplayer. Not that I own the network adaptor or that the absence of it will make me believe it will suck. But its nice to know that Ace Combat offers even more.I can only imagine how great an online Ace Combat would be like.

Well, there must be a reason behind its critical acclaim if after 4 different versions, and a soon to be fifth, it is still regarded as one of the greatest flight combat games ever even without online play.  Based on those merits alone, I believe it\'ll be worth the money, even without online play.

I liked 4 but the graphics on flight games havent impressed me since AC2. 4 Looked good when you were doing Air to Air fights but when you got to the ground, the texturing and geometry was just kinda nasty (like most flight games). The sattelite images for the game are a nice touch but they only go so far.

I know its unfair to say something like that because the land is so vast etc but its hard to pass. Im not saying that i dont like the game, its just that it only looks good from certain places.

I love those F-14 shots. When i was a kid they used to give me wood like woah! Well not really but I guess childhood favorites are hard to shake. The Hornets over the water shot is damn nice. I am liking these but where are the Eagles damnit.

Yes...i agreed, the close up shot was really horrible in 4....is that why none of those shots show close ups???

I guess there\'s not much LOD loading there(or was it mips-maps??).
