1st PS3 Preview Game? (Dark Sector PC Trailer)

This is just more of people thinking of what it could look like...I can\'t wait for actual gameplay. The footage is in-game...and it looks pretty damn good. However, since the footage is direct-feed, the trailer isn\'t very long, and it won\'t play smoothly if you have a crappy computer...anyway...

Digital Extremes has released a trailer and screenshots from their upcoming next-generation console game ‘Dark Sector’ as shown running on a PC emulator.

The game, which is said to be a Sci-Fi action game, was not labeled as a PS3 game, but only as a next-generation console game. This leaves open the possibility that we will see this game in the future on the PS3. Representatives made it very clear that the trailer and screenshots shown are from actual in-game graphics, and are not in any way CG pre-renderings.

Again, I must remind you that this game is running on a PC emulating what they think a PS3 would be capable of and not running on a PS3 machine.

I dont want to see PS3 games or the PS3. I m still playing my PS2. Why cant they wait?

Because the trend is that Sony (and other companies) release a new console every 7-10 years. When the PS3 will supposedly be out...the PS2 will have been out for 7 years. It only makes sense. The PS2 will definitely be outdated by then.

But I\'m still happily playing all my game systems now. I still play my NES every now and then. This isn\'t even a PS3 trailer anyway...it\'s just a another crappy assumption of what the PS3 may be abe to do.

So you\'re expecting it to arrive in 2007-2010? Didn\'t Playstation 1 arrive in 1995? How can it be a trend for Sony to release consoles every 7-10 years when the time between PS1 and PS2 is 5, maybe 6 years? How can it even be a trend for them if they\'ve only released 2 consoles?

Maybe it could stretch to 7 years, but it\'s ridiculous to think that they would have a 10 year gap between consoles. Ridiculous, I say!!
