Anybody else got Fight Night 2004?

I just got it today and I can\'t wait to rip into it. I was actually out to grab a copy of Freedom Fighters for 20 bucks but the Gamestop was sold out so I picked up this puppy. I found the idea of beating somebody to a bloody pulp pretty intriguing.

It\'s a great game.

What I noticed though is that you\'ll be standing still just punching eachother in most games. That\'s kind of... meh.

I like it. The single player is fun for a while then it gets boring. You accumulate ALL this money but you really have nothing to spend it on. Its kind of pointless.

The few fights I have had online were great; but sometimes it takes FOREVER to connect to games and occasionally you will get a "Please Wait" screen(sometihng like that) that seems to freeze and you can\'t press cancel so you have to reset the PS2. That happens 8-10 times online so I don\'t even bother with it. Multiplayer with a friend is still fun.

I would have like it if the faces looked as beat up as they should. When I\'m hammering someone for 7+ rounds with TONS of hooks and uppercuts they should have more than a bruise and a little blood running down a cheek. I wish the computer threw in the towel occasionally, too.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE how the physics take over when someone gets knocked down. A lot of my matches against friends have been about seeing who can get the most shots in before the other person hits the ground. Insult to injury is always fun.
