A Soldiers letter to John Kerry
« Reply #30 on: April 25, 2004, 10:01:59 PM »
Well...

First off, that guy\'s name sounds familiar. I don\'t know why but it does...(the one who wrote the letter)

It\'s funny how people are bitching about Kerry\'s change of mind. The way I see it, the whole "flip-flopping" is just really "changing his mind" Is there anything wrong with changing your mind to something as you see fit? No, and to top it off, nobody listens to his explanations. Why? "It\'s a bunch of BS anyways...b/c Bush says so"

Bush\'s people bitched about Kerry\'s war record
Bush doesn\'t have a war record

Bush ditched the UN
Bush wants the UN to help

Bush promised to capture Bin Laden
Bush captured Hussain

Bush promised more education funding
Bush cut the education budget

Actions are more important than words...

Down with Bush

Don\'t try to confuse me with what you call  facts, my mind is already made up.

The problem is Kerry manipulated his stance on Vietnam for personal political gains - nothing more.  Protesting the war was a popular thing to do at the time.  Ask many Vietnam vets of what they think of John F. Kerry and you will see he is almost as unpopular as Jane Fonda.

On an unrelated note, lets all welcome our newest mod: GigaShadow

Congrats...
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

I had posted a few posts this morning as usual and all of a sudden I noticed I was a mod.  Thanks Ash!  Also thanks to Shockwaves for moderating that mess last night in a prompt and diplomatic manner.

Cause I said so...

No, j/k...

(Posted by me in the Staff forum)

Where are the mods?

In one day, Toxical has flooded it with profanity and insults and just plain bitching...

If the current 3 are too busy to check in on a daily basis, perhaps we should consider GigaShadow, Titan, a frequent visitor or another current mod for moderator...

mm just needed a second recommendation but Giga got 5 so here he is...

Giga deserves it. I would be flattered if I was a mod but not sure how good of a job I did. Thanks for considering me though.

Kerry, as well as every other politician use inapropiate things to their advantage.

These things, including military service, have very little actual importance.

Agreed - look at Eisenhower - good general - bad president.
