What are some sports that you didn\'t like until you played them?

Rugby - I had seen rugby played but never got into it. After I learned the rules and played it a bit I can see why so many people love it. Still, I don\'t see it as any more or less aggressive than football.

Ultimate Frisbee - Probably one of my favorite sports to play. All I knew about this game is what I saw(briefly) in movies and it seemed like a "hippy" sport. This may be one of the most competitive and all around FUN games that anyone can play.

Boxing - I thought it was a ridiculous sport until I started training. I was told that it was one of the hardest sports to train for and I was not lied to. There is a lot of skill involved.


I want to say golf; but I haven\'t played it yet. I sat in on a golf class at my school and it seems really interesting. I can\'t wait to try it out next spring.

Okinawa Weapon training.. Never had any interest in their type of weapons, being nunchaku, sai, Bo/kon, tonfa etc.  I also never thought i\'d end up doing 3 section Staff too. Which is the most fun weapon after chucks..   Now i\'ll be doing balisong, wooot the fun never ends.

Wrestling. Thought it was gay but when it comes down to it, its a sport where wimps aren\'t allowed to play. Seriously, football players come in and quit. None, 0 out of the 9 football players trying out couldn\'t take our daily practice. And I live in Texas, where football is the only sport that gets attention in high school.

Yeah golf would be mine,most boring sport to look at but fun to play.Unless you are playing against someone,then it turns rather stressfull.

Golf, Im getting kinda good.  I\'ve always been able to crush it.  I just couldn\'t get it to stop slicing, but I fixed it.

I played Rugby my freshman year in high school, that was awesome.

All the sports that get no credit like golf and tennis I started real young so I don\'t really have a response.  Then sports like soccer I tried and didn\'t like so hmmm.

And water polo is in fact the most brutal sport I have ever seen when played at the highest levels.

I still dont understand 70% of rugby...but I love it
Same with tennis, don\'t really know the rules for shit....like mabye 10-15% of the game, but also...fun

Ultimate frisbee is awesome, during any freetime in cross country we\'d play.

Tennis.

The idea of hitting a ball towards another player didn\'t sound so attractive as it turned out to be. Now I have played it for nearly three years and am quite good at it.

Cross Country. Who wants to run 3 miles? I didn\'t, until I got into the sport and now I enjoy running.

Skydiving

There is skill, tons of practice and competition ... Not to mention it is the ultimate rush.
