Appitizers at resturants

Does anyone actually order these things?

It just delays your food, and makes less room for the real meal. Bleh, I dont get it.

Delays?

I don\'t know about the service in Alaska, but appetizers come almost instantly if not 5 minutes later at the least.

Wow...

What restaurant are you eating at?
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

Just any that I think of off the top of my head... Applebee\'s, OG, Red Lobster, etc.

Maybe not instantly, but no longer than 10 minutes.

ell at most nicer resteraunts it takes up to an hour to get you meal, but the appitizers take less than 10 minutes, so they usually appeze you until the real food comes.  I order them when I\'m not competeing, and fully support them.

*gives appitizers a high five

When the place is packed, the appetizers take like 20 minutes...

Even worse is when they come at the same time as the main course...

That\'s only happened to me once and that was because the main course only took 15 minutes to come out......

It\'s like culinary foreplay, I personally like to slowly work my way up to the main course while enjoying myself along the way, while others like to dig in and bust a nut.

Don\'t care much.  When I eat out it\'s usually with friends and it\'s either sit down at a nice restaurant yukking it up or at my house which is messy.

I like Carrabbas.

I work at Applebees right now, I know all about appetizers.  They really don\'t slow your main meal down any.  The main course type of meals are prepared by two guys while another guy handles things like salads and appetizers.  Though I find them pointless unless their half off because I can\'t even finish a normal meal.

The main meal never fills me up, so appetizers are a must :)
