prequel, this is going to suck...... i mean, dante gets his powers in dmc, he doesnt start with any, there forrre he must have no powers in this game. as he doesnt get the allistar??? the sword that gives him thunder power....... so that is gonna suck, and correct me if im wrong, but can you not turn into devil trigger mode till u have got the sword??

Yep.You couldnt use the devil trigger in the beginning till you got Alastor.And thats strange.....no devil trigger in DMC3?

imo i thought the graphics in the 1st one was way better that the 2nd...hell they are still talkin about all this matrix type moving ability motion captured stuff..that crap from pt2 was horrible...i\'d rather just prefer the 1st engine used in the first one with alistor & everything else beside all this gay crap...it baffles me how capcom can go from one extreme to the next...

Thats right i forgot. There cant be Alastor because he got it in DMC. Force Edge should be there though. They will make some sort of excuse to include these things.  It really pisses me off that they can do all of this.

IF (and thats an almost impossible if) this game is good then that will be one of the greatest things of this (or whenever) year. Though i cant see them bringing this one from the ashes.

And i agree w/ clips. I think the graphics for 1 were better

Does anyone know who\'s controlling the development team now? When they decided to make DMC2 they had a different guy overseeing the project than with the first.
If it\'s the same guy as the one who was in charge of DMC1 I think it has a better chance of being good.

Is that a spider I see in one of the pics? :)


The pics remind me of DMC2 though :(=Motion captured lagging moves.And I hope they got rid of the small animation pauses when you hit an enemy or got hit.

I still dont see any cathedrals, medieval castles etc enviroments :mad:

edit:Or wait....is that the interior of a castle??

That\'s gonna be a game I want.  It looks really different and somewhat like Silent Hill 2 places.  It\'s in a town and the people aren\'t quite zombies.  It\'ll be interesting.

Glad to see the old guy back but i dont know if he gets it.

Like i said before: the whole neon, pool table thing seems more duke nukem than DMC. Give me Darkness, Malice and Castles (ok that was lame i know. Its late)

Sometimes i hate hearing info on anticipated games like this. It always takes a million years for them to come out. They only create more hype than needed.

i agree. i don\'t know if this cat read the reviews of the 2nd one or not..i\'\'d say get rid of all these colorful gay themes and take the color palette in another direction..maybe along the lines of grey & black & dark tones, but still keeping the unique style from the 1st game. even the way dante walked in the 1st game was fly as hell,..in the 2nd game it looked liked he walked with a twitch..:ghey:

im guessing that is what you are saying is the allistar????? when ever was it 12 feet long???

he doesnt getthe allistar, or his powers till dmc, after he gets allistar

He had some powers before. We unlocked certain moves in DMC but not the powers really. I mean think about it. Hes been in the business and he knows his dad is sparda. I dont think that out of nowhere he just figures when he gets alastor that he can transform.

Anyway. This is looking preatty shitty. The sword shouldnt even be there and if this has nothing to do with the first game at all or even the DMC Universe, then this is going to be a hack and slash with more depth to the hacking and slashing. Thats about it.

The original wasnt just driven by the action. If the story sucked the big one, then i highly doubt that it would have gotten as much praise, especially on these forums.
