Math Wizards, I need some help...

Bah, the more I look at it, I don\'t know.  Set backs I can\'t remember what they are exactly.  We would be well within on both sides.  We have no easement on the backside of the property or anything so we\'d be able to really use any part of the property.  I\'d probably have the house pretty far forward towards that arc where the road is leaving plenty of room in the back.  The long back area is a pasture where a dude has cows and the 97\' side is a small lake.

We still haven\'t bought the property, although we wrote up a contract and are sending it in tomorrow.

Ugh.....  I\'ll be happy when this is all done I\'m sure, but dang it\'s intimidating as hell right now.

Well sounds like you have most everything already figured out.  As for the house itself, it\'s very similar to one I designed in class a couple years back.  So of course I enjoy how it\'s layed out.  Though that is a haul to your child\'s room.

My highest math level is geometry and I got a B on it since high school.  Now, I don\'t think I remember much about the stuff that I learned in geometry...but if you make me do some of those problems and show me the formula and step by step, I might remember.

But still, I find it anything that\'s higher than geometry is hard for me even though i haven\'t try it yet like pre calculus and calculus.  Just the name is already sound hard for me.

That is one of the things that bugged us about the plan.  Too far away from what would be an eventual nursery and there is no office.  I do like the fireplace in the bedroom.  That makes for good nookey.

How much freedom do you have on the layout of the house, are you able to throw in suggestions or are you just picking a floorplan out of the bunch?

Also, yea that whole left wing of the house is dedicated to the master bedroom, nice.

I\'m drooling over that garage.  :)

I like this plan better.

I would make both living room doors full pocket sliders.  I like it when you can open your entire living room to the outside.  Very cool.

Only thing is the two car garage, but there is so much storage I think it will be alright.

Not so sure I like the dining room right next to the foyer, a little too much traffic flow for my taste, but the rest is super sexy.

The dining room is actually in an area that would have no traffic flow.  Well, people would walk by the entry way, but not through it.

We aren\'t dining room people.

Other things I would do is get rid of the french doors in the study and make that a bedroom.

Bedroom 2 I would modify to be my office.

I\'d also probably ditch the fireplace.  Maybe I\'d keep it if it\'s gas, but wood fireplaces are a pain in the butt in Florida with storing the wood.

I like the 2nd plan better too, and for the fireplace... meh.. How often are you really going to use that here in Florida?  Even the winters are almost too warm for one.  Besides... I see a fancy pool table in your future haning out in your upstairs bonus room :)  Good times I tell you... Good times.

I agree.  I can\'t tell you how many times we\'ve opened the door in the winter so we could get the house cool enough for a fire.  Dang, Florida blows.
