Final Fantasy XI players

Heh, memories~

I got FFXI when it first came out on the PC. I was Saist, on the Fairy server. I believe I left off as a lv20 WAR before I took a "break"... That was nearly 6 months ago.

I liked it a lot, but it was pretty time consuming(more than I expected it to be). And luck just wasn\'t on my side when it came to forming decent parties, building experience, and gil farming. One day, when I don\'t have anything else better to do, I\'ll try it out again. Maybe restart the game as a Taru BLM or somethin\'... Hope you guys are enjoying it, and continue to do so!

By the way, don\'t know if it was mentioned but an expansion was shown at E3. No new jobs(that\'ll probably be saved for the next expansion), but lots of new areas in-between the ones we already know, and more story-related stuff.

Thanks Cygnus - yeah, I figured that out some time ago, I\'ve come a long way since that post.

Finally got used to the feel and go of the game.  Pretty easy to pick up if you\'ve been playing online games for awhile.  I used to, or still do, run with this BF1942/Vietnam clan called Fragnastika.  You pick up communication skills, team play real easy playing with an organized clan.

But this game is pretty damn cool.  I saved this monks life in the Woods of w.Ranafue(sp) - he ended up giving me a link peral.  So that just added a whole new and interesting dynamic to this game.  Its like a mini support group, ha ha ha.

I\'ve joined the smithys guild, but have yet to attempt any synthesis.  Just so many things to do and so many activites, like visiting the Auction House take time.

least thats the plan - those are the ones i want to mess with my main is a Rdm/war soon to lvl up Whm as sub

I hit 27 last night (Red/Wht) and will get BST(Red) when I hit 30.
....then back to Bastok to level...

It will be nice taking on Toughs from the start. Charm a pet (DC) and sick it on a Tough.. Let the pet take 1/2 or so life from mob before dieing, go in for the kill myself. Nice exp, little risk or Downtime:)

during the E3 press confrence they said that Final Fantasy 11 will be released in Europe....

Lets hope they put the expansion in the HDD bundle too.

Well, things move right along in this game.  I ended up being part of an escort from Sandoria to Windurst.  Did that at level 9 now I\'m about to hit lvl 12 - so things are moving.

Really started getting a game plan going.  Figured culinary would be my best option since I was already in Windurst.  So hopeully I\'ll have that up to lvl 40 in the next 2-4 days.

Windurst is pretty cool, some good monsters in the higher lvl regions.  Not nearly as many people here as there was in Sandoria.

that cool i hit lvl 30 on my rdm while back and unlocked the adv jobs i wanted

i got lvl 8 bst master now
also got a lvl 1 rng for widescan when i camp battering rams in la thiene - good money from horns and skins makes me about 30k a day

also i have been messing with my whm but not much bst is too fun

so i now have these

Damn, I play quite a bit - how much do you guys play?  I mean, this game is time consuming.  As you get use to things you get into a rythm and mundane things speed up.  But man, it still takes a lot of time to get things done.

yea it has widescan but no where near as good as rng does - plus at lvl 15 its gets even better for rng

while it takes till about 20 to get better for bst

where as bst lets you see few mobs around you

the rng lets you see a few map blocks around you - relatively bout 15-20 mobs

much nicer

and yes it does consume time heh - how much playtime does everyone have i got 14 days

Yeah, I checked on Saturday and I had 14 days and something too..

I play from 1-3 hrs on weekdays, and from 4-10 hrs Sat and Sundays.

I\'ve been slacking... I usually play about 1-3 hours  a few days thru the week.  Im usually pretty busy doing stuff on the weekend, so I dont play much then.  I\'m gonna log on and play some tonight though  Love the game.  And YES it is very time consuming.  See you tonight J!

Yeah.  I play a few hours at night.  My wife plays a couple of hours during the day.  I spend a lot of time just making money in the game by dealing with the Auction House, because I don\'t want to get too many levels ahead of MPTheory.  I am pretty rich now for only being a level 17 whm.


My wife likes to catch fish and she is starting to raise her cooking levels.
