UK consoles in the US
« on: May 08, 2004, 07:45:44 AM »
Hi,

I\'m moving over to the US. I\'m from the UK.

Does anyone know if I can play my games in the US. Most probably using a US console.

I know all consoles are territory locked. However is there any chipping that will allow me to play PAL games.

I have a PS2, XBOX, GC and a Dreamcast. My DC is already chipped so I\'ll just put it on a power transformer, the XBOX and PS2 and Gamecube I may aswell sell and buy US versions

I just want to know whether it\'s worth selling the games or doing something to US consoles and bring the games?

cheers

SOLDER
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

Instead of selling your consoles, why don\'t you just buy an adapter to convert from PAL to NTSC?
