Watch Out for the Pretzels, Moore Tells Bush

[...]

Moore admitted to one regret after accepting the Palme d\'Or -- he forgot to thank George W. Bush for providing the funniest lines in "Fahrenheit 9/11," a blistering attack on Bush\'s handling of Iraq (news - web sites) and the war on terror.

[...]

Aked what he thought Bush\'s reaction might be to the award, he told a packed news conference: "He is probably choking on a pretzel or something. I hope nobody tells him that I have won this award while he is eating a pretzel."

[...]

"I forgot out there on the stage to thank my cast. So if I could do that now, I want to thank Mr Bush, Mr Cheney, Paul Wolfowitz and Donald Rumsfeld. I thought the love scene between Cheney and Rumsfeld brought a tear to my eye."

Ah, cant wait to see it. :)

Quote
"The jury was not a French jury. This was an international jury dominated by Americans," he said.

[...]

Angered by the way Americans had reacted against the French over its resistance to the conflict in Iraq, he said: "We owe the people of this country an apology for the way they were debased in our media."

[...]

And then he proudly quoted what cult director Quentin Tarantino (news) -- the Cannes jury president -- had told him.

"He said: \'We want you to know that the politics of your film had nothing to do with the award. You were given the award because you made a great film."\'

What is he in the 3rd grade?  When you talk like this you lose credibility.  Moore is still an idiot and will die an idiot.

Not slamming people against Bush, I\'m glad to see a political documentary made.. I plan to rent this film as I did BFC.

It\'s called a "joke."  It makes you laugh.  It doesn\'t undermine one\'s credibility unless the person hearing it has no sense of humor.

You people are allowed to nurse your hate-on for Michael Moore if you wish (even when many of you have never bothered to watch his films), but blaming every thing you don\'t like on "homosexuals" is remarkably narrow minded.

Perhaps you\'d be happier under a Nazi dictatorship somewhere, mm?  You\'ve already stated your appreciation for Hitler\'s oratory skills...

There is no doubt that Hitler was a leader and motivated people, like few others. Not saying what he done was right..but...I don\'t think you can deny my above statement.

Professor Goodwin, U of I, in 1981 made the observation that Usenet discussions gravitate downhill.

He postulated that as the length of a discussion thread grows, the probability approaches one (1) that one participant will introduce the terms "Hitler" or "Nazi".

The custom has evolved that the first party to utter "Hitler" or "Nazi" has lost the discussion, and the thread terminates.

Go here: http://www.petitiononline.com/rd3p123m/petition.html

Quote
To:  Michael Moore

This petition is addressed to Michael Moore

We, the undersigned, hereby request that Mr. Michael Moore release his new film, Fahrenheit 9/11, FREE OF CHARGE on the internet before its theatrical release.

Moore’s critics argue that he is no different from the businesses he derides such as Halliburton that are, in Moore’s own words, “War Profiteers”. We challenge Mr. Moore to prove his critics wrong, and to prove that the message of his new film takes precedence over his personal profits.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned
