We lose our dignity as well when we -that are supposed to be civilized and educated, entertain ourselves with such spectacles.Even worse when we are trying to find an excuse

Luckee, it\'s hard to keep your dignity when you have to eat food out of the trash.

So instead of buying booze or drugs, food can be bought.

Im as kind hearted as anyone. Rarely does a day go by that some bum doesnt ask me for change or worse yet..actual bills on occassion.

I never give them any money but always offer to stop from whatever I am doing to buy them food instead. 95% of the time they refuse. I wonder why that is.

I give them money if they ask, just because I don\'t need a few dollars and might as well give it to someone else. even if they waste it, i dont care. They can do whatever they want, even if they do use it to buy alcohol, it doesnt mean they are bad people.

Drugs are a medium used to get rid of them.Also their problems must be so much worse compared to ours.Even people with homes and families sometimes cant handle huge load of problems and stress in their lives and they drink or take pills (which are basically adiccting drugs) to get rid of the stress.
These people dont differ much from us.And there are bastards who-like those "bumfight" bastards- exploit their problems and try to addict them to drugs for their own gain.And then they use them to find people and addict them too in order to gain their dose.

Meh... One time this girl about my age asked me for a ride to a bus stop. I\'m going to assume she was homeless because she was naturally unkept, and its just an assumption that I felt was safe to make. I was pumping gas at the time, and she said that she would miss the bus because the bus stop was too far away and she wouldn\'t get there in time. So I agreed, it was on the way to where I was headed anyways. She offered me a whole 25 cents for my trouble, but I said it wasn\'t necessary.

Yeah.It seems that Swifdi is into prostitution.He offered his services tof 25 cents.But he enjoyied it too and didnt accept any payments since he was paid in a different form

Back to the topic.What happened to Swifdi shows that there are good hearted people out there that despite their problems they would offer even the few things left for them to own.

We already know this. Lots of good ppl. Lots of decent bums. Many however are not and do not deserve what they do not have for themselves.

Not all bums are lazy  or whatever to become homeless.  Seriously, who doesn\'t want to make money?

There are a lot of reasons why someone becomes a bum/homeless that we do not know.  So one should not judge and intolerate them and be mean to them.

I know many people who suffer from schizophrenia that live on the street.  They are from middle and upper class family who have jobs and house and stuff.  But the kids suffer from schizophrenia, bipolar, and other mental disorder thatn as they grew older, no one take cares of them and they become bums/homeless.

And their siblings who are mentally and physically stable and normal live in a different state and have their own family and kids and their own house.  Schizophrenia is such a very devastating illness that should be taken very seriously.

Of course there are other reasons that we do not know why someone turned homeless.  For example:  some went to war and what they witness in the war had haunted their lives and they gone crazy and turned homeless...

anyway, my grammar is a mess.  Just fix those words if you like....

I think its a bad idea to give a bum money, because most of the time they will spend it on drugs or alcohol. It is much better to just buy them food or blankets or clothing so you know your helping them and not making them more addicted to drugs or alcohol than they already are.
