"Bumfights: A video too far"

Did anyone else in the UK see this documentary on Channel 5 tonight?

I thought it was one of the most sickening things ever - basically a few guys with a video camera went out and recorded "bums" ie homeless people fighting each other, setting thier hair on fire etc.

The worse thing is the guy that filmed them seems to have no remorse for this and is making a new film about prostitutes, crack adicts and the mentally ill...

This guy really needs help , and so do the millions of people that bought the video.

I downloaded bumfights 2 off overnet, and in this one scene they paid this homeless man $50 so they could pull his teeth out with a pair of pliers :eek:

i saw one of those videos, the people who make it must be some really moronic people.

They\'re doing some new thing here in Vegas, I forgot what its called... I think its called, "Declination" or something stupid... And the local news channel interviewed the guys who are in charge of it, and they\'re talking about how society is corrupt and that businessman are ruining the country... Its so stupid... They film barfights and stuff here, and say they aren\'t promoting violence but, "Showing the world what state the country is in".

Its actually kinda funny sometimes. I mean come on. They have "Rufus the stunt bum" and "bling bling the crack expert." If thats not enough, they even have their own official model.

You do have a point their.  But what most people who mourn this crap don\'t realize is that these people are on the street because they have made idiotic choices.  True, some of them were born into it, but most have chosen to go sour at sometime in their lifetime.  

When bums ask for change on the street, call me a hypocrit, but I do give them any loose change as long as they don\'t have booze in sight.  I remember going to the movies and laughing it up with my friends as I walked into the theatre entrance and it was in the middle of December and about 10 degrees farenheit outside.  As I was walking up a little girl grabbed my arm and told me about how they have no X-Mas tree and were trying to buy one so that their dad would be happy because all he does is work to provide them with some really crummy trailer. (they had pictures to show me)  I felt really bad for these people, and maybe since I was walking into the movie in a nice jacket and with a bunch of friends, but I was like, im sorry I dont have any money to give you, but take this and I gave her my jacket since she was dressed in rags.  She wouldn\'t stop thanking me and such, made me actually feel like a good guy.  

Bums arnt bad people, I agree some caused there own fate but some are forced there for other reasons.

Either way, they deserve support.
