Miriam, star of controversial reality show There\'s Something About Miriam, is to enter the Big Brother house in Australia on Sunday as a special guest.
The stay will be part of an antipodean tour to coincide with the broadcast of the final episode of the Sky One show down under.
Interestingly, the Big Brother housemates will be clueless to Miriam\'s secret as they entered the house before the series began airing on the Ten network.
Tim Clucas, Network Ten’s head of development, said: “Sending Miriam into the House plays to the time honoured tradition of Big Brother, messing with the minds of the housemates. It will be fascinating to see who falls for Miriam’s charms and who thinks she’s too good to be true."
Miriam, the British reality TV star, who was born a man and remains a pre-operation transsexual, will join the Big Brother contestants as part of a Channel 10 cross-promotion.
The 21-year-old Mexican model from There\'s Something About Miriam will stay at the Gold Coast Big Brother compound for up to a night.
As The Courier-Mail reported yesterday, the housemates have no knowledge of Miriam as they were in lockdown when Channel 10 announced the series and were inside the house when it premiered.
During her time in Australia, Miriam will travel around the country promoting the finale of the show, scheduled for Tuesday June 15.
Depending on what time Miriam arrives, one of the housemates may not get to see her as Sunday is the traditional Big Brother eviction night.
