« on: June 05, 2004, 01:26:43 PM »
I\'m makin\' it.

Gimmie some suggestions.

My track list so far...

Slayer - Angel Of Death
Meshuggah - Ritual
Entombed - Demon
Deicide - Once Upon The Cross
Sepultura - Arise
Death  - Lack of Comprehension

Thats all I got so far, I\'m lookin\' to make it about 20 tracks. I ain\'t too hip on anything past like 1997, so help me out.

LOL... ha ha... phew...

Uhm, throw some Six Feet Under in there but nothing from bringer of blood. "Impulse to Disembowel" is a pretty decent song though.
Id Say put some Vader on there but not too many people like them pollocks. I think they are ok though.
Then you have Brujeria but they are all spanish. I personally like the song "La Migra" but you would have to look up the translation.

Theres my few suggestions for now but i wouldnt say its all "the best death metal ever"

Maybe Shadows Fall???

IDK

You just reminded me... I used to love Brujeria.

Back in my teens I was a huge Death Metal freak and I\'m trying to re-live that with this compilation.

Awesome... I\'ve never read text and actually heard the correct music in my head. Not until I read that.

Depends on your tastes, but a few I\'d consider that I really like:

Cannibal Corpse- Hammer Smashed Face
Children of Bodom- Hate Me
Dying Fetus- Praise the Lord
Morbid Angel- Enshrined By Grace
Nile- Masturbating the War God
Opeth- Deliverence

I\'ve been getting right back into Strapping Young Lad lately, so here\'s a few good n\'s:

 - Consequence
 - Aftermath
 - Force Fed
 - Devour
 - AAA
 - Underneathe the Waves
 - Skin Me
 - S.Y.L.
 - Detox
 - Home Nucleonics

Just a few, give \'em a go. They\'re pretty heavy. :)

I never heard of any of these bands.

Ok.... I would recommend some Opeth on there. Maybe something from the Damnation album... Defiantly put some At the Gates on there, second song off of Slaughter of the souls, also the At the Gates captor of sin cover is great. Dillinger Escape Plan...something off of the first album.
Hmmm. Canibal Corpse....Hammer smashed Face or maybe Stripped, Raped, and Strangled.

I have a bunch more, but I can\'t think of them at the moment.

I\'d think if he wants Opeth for a DEATH METAL compilation, he should stay away from Damnation.  Too soft.
