Williams technical director Sam Michael said: "The front brake ducts of Ralf and Juan Pablo\'s car are not in accordance with the regulations.

"It was a mistake and it was unintentional. There was no performance gain and no gain for brake cooling because the inlet area was not bigger.

"However, the duct is not in compliance with the technical regulation and we accept the FIA decision."
I think it\'s nice to see that kind of attitude from motorsports team.  It stands in stark contract to Corrado Provera\'s confrontational attitude when Peugeot\'s victory in the Cyprus Rally was overturned due to an illegal water pump.  If they\'re going to cut corners for every tiny advantage, they need to own up and pay the price when they are caught.

BTW, Jenson Button is only 10 points behind Rubens Barrichello in 2nd place in the drivers\' championship.  BAR Honda increased their lead over BMW.  Wa hoo! :tomato:

If they\'ve cheated knowing what they were doing... Williams and Honda should be heavily punished, not only in this race. 10 points less to each driver in the general classification.

What does this have to do with Honda?

I\'m going to sleep early tonight because inside of three laps, both BAR Hondas retired from the Malaysian Grand Prix.   :rpissed:  :rpissed:

WTF is wrong with Honda?  I hope it\'s some simple fundamental fault that can be easily corrected, like they did halfway through last season.  One of the announcers mentioned that Honda\'s philosophy this season was to increase horsepower at all costs, even if it meant sacrificing some reliability.  That\'s the first time I\'ve heard that, and I don\'t quite believe it.  Why would they do something like that in this season of rule changes which require them to increase engine reliability by making sure the engine survives two races?

My theory is that Honda is playing with some very unsual technological advance in the 05 engine, and they haven\'t perfected it yet.  :)  Well, one can hope.

I read a thread on another motorsport forum I am a memebr of, where someone asked "can Schu & Ferrari be beaten this year?"

After 2 races, and 0 wins, I can\'t help but think that "can Schu & Ferrari win this year?" would have been more appropriate.

I didn\'t see the race myself, as I made that same mistake I always do with the middle of the night events, I go out and get pissed up, then come in at 3am and decide to stay up and wait for it to come on.

As you can probably guess, I fell asleep withing 5 minutes, and only just woke up as the podium finishers were giving their interviews after the race. I\'ll have to wait another couple of hours before I can watch a re-run of the race.

But, for me, any race that Ferrari & Schu don\'t win, is a good race.

Happy happy joy joy.

Shame about Button though, retiring after only 3 laps with engine trouble.
Don't waste your words I don't need anything from you. I don't care where you've  been or what you plan to do. I am the resurrection and I am the light. I  couldn't ever bring myself to hate you as I'd like.

The teams competing in F1 this year are:

Renault
Toyota
Red Bull Racing (Formerly Jaguar)
Ferrari
Williams BMW
McLaren Mercedes
Sauber Petronas
Jordan Toyota
BAR Honda
Minardi Cosworth

Nissan isn\'t involved, but don\'t worry.  Neither are some other very well know carmakers like Porsche.

The guy on the inside lane had the advantage and drove the other guy wider. Legal but not very sporting.
