Try this:
1) Control Panel > Network Connection > Local Area Connection > Support Tab > Click
Repair2) Control Panel > System Icon > Hardware Tab > Device Manager > Network Adapters. Dbl click on your card > Advanced Tab > Highlight NetworkMedia > Choose
10BaseT as the speed, no full duplex.
Whenever it fails again close all internet apps and do #1 first. If that doesn\'t work try #2. Method #2 lowers the speed but not for internet since you can\'t get even close to 10mbps with cable (yet). For some reason my semi-old Netgear NIC only works at 10BaseT, meh.
PS- always nice to download and install the latest drivers for your NIC too
