Just bought this yesterday and it\'s OK but not as good GTA.The driving feels very similar to the PS1 version but with a bit better graphics. It does have different places though, you start in Miami and now I\'m in France which is kinda cool. The shooting is a little much sometimes, but I think you can turn on auto target if it gets to much. They have put swimming in which is different but you still die if your in there to long.Road bikes are in also, they have some quite nice cars eg Corvette,Mustang and Ferrari. But the top end speed feels a little low?

Overall I\'d say 8/10

For reference:
GTA:VC 9/10
LA:True Crime 8/10
Getaway 7.5/10
I see a red door and I want it painted black...

hmmm...gamespot gave it a 5.4 not that i go by their score and i\'m not disputing how you feel about the game..but i remember reading somewhere that the programmers of the game felt that the game wasn\'t ready to be shipped and the people in upper mngt ignored them...

Gamespot said it as filled with more bugs and a roach infected $1 a night motel.

also the play test i gave it made me walk right past it and keep my money...

Such a shame on such a promising, eagerly anticipated title. :(

Graphics are a little shoddy and gets a bit annoying, but no worse than Getaway or True Crime.

To me at least.

But I\'m a bit of a fan of this Genre.

I\'m gonna have to check out these reviews?

Couldn\'t find edge or Eurogamer but the Gamecentral was 3/5 not 3/10

I played this on my friend\'s XBox, and its crap compared to the first two.  Maybe I just need to change the control settings but they really suck.  He also had on Custom Soundtracks and it kept playing the same song over and over and over again which got really annoying.  I should try the PS2 version because I like the controls better on most games for PS2.  Hopefully its a little better.  I didn\'t really like the game much though.  So far I\'d give it a 4.5 out of 10.

No it was out of 10, gamecentral on UK teletext service. The eurogamer review can be found @ http://www.eurogamer.net and the edge score can be found in the new issue of the magazine.

The reviewer seems a bit harsh,he makes it sound like GTA had no flaws,I\'ve fallen through streets and driven on invisable roads, hit imovable chairs and the enemy people ar hardly AI masterminds.Don\'t get me wrong Driver does have it\'s problems,it\'s not as good as GTA and after playing it a bit more I would probably drop the mark to 7.5 but giving it 3/10 seems over harsh.Unless they gave GTA 5.5/10.

When he was talking about the truck mission he said "when you get to the road blocks you have to do 40 point turns" well I just smashed through them and still made it?

The getaway was a decent game. But true crime was just horrible.

I was playing Driver 3 again today and I can\'t get over the fact that it doesn\'t matter what speed you\'re going when you make a turn the tires screech.  Also if you\'re going full speed the cars in the distance don\'t come up fast enough and you end up hitting them sometimes because they pop up on the screen a second before you hit them.  Very frustrating.  Also I was looking at a building while driving kinda slow and I passed the building but the texture for it was still a part of the background for a good 15 seconds until the game caught up.  Lots of bugs that annoy the hell out of me but it is a little better control wise on the PS2.

Im with you Stryder, but im not afraid to rate this game as

Driv3r      10/10
Getaway  9/10
Mafia        8/10.

Tyres makes a screch when turning? I think you have to use the analog stick for steering.
