Entitled, "The Tipping Point"...

Just gave it a quick run through in the car and at first listen it sounds pretty good. Hip-hop seems to be the main sound invovled,  however,  the additions of jazz, soul, and smart lyrics create a well put together album. They go into a few jams which are cool. Each song is different though so it keeps you interested. I dunno if anyone else has listened to it yet but it\'s worth a shot.

Yeah the roots are a great band.  I see on there new album they went a little more hip hop.

I\'ll have the album soon. I did not see it at the store when I last went.

You people have impressed me yet again. The Roots are incredilble in my book. I have 2 of their cd\'s, things fall apart and do you want more? I believe. One got jacked. Great music though.

I dont mean to bring up old topics but The Roots are closer to TRUE hip hop than most of these people out on the radio. Id say the roots are just a large blend of things that they arent primarily hip hop but you know what im saying. Creative vs. Radio bullshit.

You get the picture.

BTW I havent heard the new CD but my cousin knows some new songs wich means they were probably on the radio... which worries me. If He knows about it then i have a bad feeling about this album.

I\'m gonna see em when they open for 311 later this month. :D  gonna be a blast!

The Seed 2.0 is still on every rap/hip-hop mix-cd I create.  What a cool style.  I\'ll trade in this dumb Excutioners CD for this one.

Yea my friends are going,  I actually passed but I think im regretting it now.

Nicon don\'t worry, the song on the radio is good even though it\'s on the radio and the rest of the CD is just as good too.

PLEASE dont mention this. Damnit i couldnt go because i had to go out of town the next day really ****ing early. It was last week. Usually if i go to a concert its a 311 concert (i dont go to many. Just not my scene). So on top of missing them i missed the roots. Talk about one of the biggest dissapointments ever...... this year

BTW. Thanx for the cool points Luke. Youre pretty kool, well except for the fact that youre a cubs fan! but other than that youre kool :p

The roots rock - I\'ve seen them in concert several times - they come through philly all the time and put on free shows.

Hiphop is where its at!  Let this be a lesson for yall - true hiphop, good hiphop sounds like it should when the roots do it.  This MTV bs is not hiphop and its down right embarassing.
