I don\'t know why racial profiling is even necessary in this situation.  I mean, wouldn\'t you want to stop and question a group of any race or of mixed race that was acting similarly suspicious?

And who knows, maybe the men would have been questioned to some extent had the federal agents not been on the plane.  The flight personel were prolly just deferring to them.  Why they didn\'t do more I don\'t know.  Then again, who knows what they might have done to make sure nothing happened that the reporter didn\'t see, had these men actually been terrorists.

Why?

Haha a story in Woman\'s Wallstreet of this lady overreacting to Muslims on a plane.  Chicks just eat this drama up

Israel has one of, if not THE, best security setups for airlines.  They do ANY and all type of profiling to find out information.  If you look suspicous they\'ll pull you aside and ask you some questions.  If your story doesn\'t hold up they\'ll search your luggage thoroughly.

I\'ve heard several stories where this worked and they were able to stop terrorists before they took off.  As a result terrorists think twice about going to an Israeli airport and they\'re one of the safest around.

But this is America home of the free, land of the loss of common sense.

Racial profiling may be politically incorrect, but would you be angry if it stopped the next 911?

Vivi, id rather be attacked by terrorists then have racial profiling.

There is no point to protecting the citizens of this country if people are unequal in the eyes of the government.

If a specific race is causing a problem (airplane bombs, hijacking) they should be profiled.

Well in normal areas of law enforcement it is a tad unfair to use racial profiling. Especially in some of the least likely situations. Like if i go to the movies and some cop gives me a look because im going into the game room thats right by the entrance to the theaters (making sure i dont sneek in). Of course in some cases i could understand.

Whatever. Im rambling.

The point is, on a plane or something like that, i think racial profiling is just to a certain extent. If you dont look or act suspicious then you really have nothing to worry about. Plain and simple.

How do you tell someone not to look a certain color of skin????

You can tell them to crash into your house next time and spare 2,000 other American lives.

I guess you forgot about all the non-arab terrorists then. "Races" of people do not cause problems. Taking such an ignorant view is just like saying that the jews brought down the german econemy after WWI.

I didnt say that. Im saying that even if they do look at the color of your skin, if you are acting perfectly normal you might get a little more attention but nowhere near as much attention as those guys on the plane.

Like i said. Racial profiling in this case is just to a certain extent.
