I need to know how one would say:
Please accept this small token of my gratitude and friendship for all of your hard work. Thank you

I am going on vacation and  from what I understand, the employees don\'t make s__t. They can really use the tips some people,not all(jerks) leave. They won\'t take anything without permission hence my note. Thanks in advance.

To hell with \'em. If they don\'t get paid that much, oh well. There is no point in tipping, just because you\'re suppose to tip. It\'s utter bullshit..

The whole point is that they tell you that you don\'t have to tip.
It\'s a all inclusive package. The resort makes all the money and the employees get squat. Some people don\'t tip ever, some people treat the help like slaves, IMHO this sucks. Just as I would tip in the states for good service so shall I there. Maybe it\'s just me but I think they should get a little something more for their hard work.

BTW, don\'t feel bad for the employees in the resorts, they make 10x of what everyone else does in that country. If you venture outside of the resort, then you can start throwing money around. Here\'s a story...

My boss & family went outside of the resort to the village mercado to buy some trinkets. One guy was selling some jewelry to a daughter, and My boss wanted to haggle... the guy said he would gladly give it to his daughter in exchange for a pina colada from the hotel. He gave him the bracelet, and said "bring me a drink when you come back..."  Peter said, "well, since you\'re being so trusting, why don\'t I just pay what you asked?" (which he could have bought 4 pina coladas for) He said "we are not allowed in the hotel, so please just bring me a pina colada for my children to share" So peter brought him a pina colada and 3 cokes for his kids, and paid him...

On a serious note, I do tip, but I think tipping has went overboard in America.. Take for example, when I was gettin\' a ticket for my bag the DFW Airport, I realized I was suppose to tip this guy.. Mind you, all this guy done was print out a ticket and stick it on my bag. Why should I tip someone for that?   I tip when tips are deserved, for example, at a restraunt where you get good service. I on the other hand, will not tip if the waitress  / waiter is a complete bum.

I purposefully avoid the skycaps because I don\'t trust them, and I don\'t want to have to tip them for carrying my bag 3 feet to the conveyor belt.  :)  I think they are an absurd anachronism that should have disappeared long ago.
