I have much respect for him now. Turning down all that money and focuses on enjoying life instead.

It was posted in the FF thread, but anyways.

Sucks for Miami, having no offense what so ever now.  He seems a bit selfish IMO, should have told them earlier or gutted it out for a year so they could find a replacment.

well i\'m sure he has more than enough cash to sit on...who knows? it\'s all fun and games to watch these cats on tv bangin\' out..but it seems he was fed up with the work ethic & discipline needed when you\'re on a team...curfews,..can\'t go out of town,..gotta watch what you eat..

i understand his dilema to a degree,.. mngmt. can put a huge amount of restrictions on your life when it comes to preparing for the games...and that\'s just him  but me personally i would love to get paid just doing something i loved doin\',..but that\'s just me & a bunch of us on the outside lookin in...who knows what else goes on after the crowd leaves & it\'s time to prepare for the next game...

i wasn\'t a miami fan, but ricky was a great running back,..sad to see him go...
knowledge, wisdom & understanding..these are the basic fundamentals of life

if you can\'t amaze them with brilliance, baffle them with bullsh*t....

Man I can\'t believe ricky is leaving. Man he had become my favorite new player.  And the dolphins was my team.

I believe this new found glory of his started when he went on that vacation and came back with the bald head.

This is now the second team to trade away like 4 years of drafts for him and end up with nothing.

I\'m sorry but this is bullshit... Dude makes like 10mil a year and he\'s complaining cause the dolphins dont want him to smoke weed.

He was a baby from day one in the NFL and he\'s leaving like a baby now.

He\'ll be back in less than 2 years is my guess.

He just doesnt wanna have to talk to the media for awhile:rolleyes:

The guy has a "personality disorder".  That is an understatement.  Traveling to Asia with a one way ticket?  Great athlete, but mentally lost.

He\'ll probably run out of money in 3 months and realize its hard to be a pot-smoking hippy without that 3.5 million dollar salary.

he\'s got plenty of cash, that\'s not doubt.  He wants to be a photographer and touch children.

Good for you ricky, you sorry sack of ****.

I can see both sides of the argument...

JBean, don\'t you have Ricky on the Psx2c Fantasy Football team? Or was that Theomen\'s old team? Either way, Fantasy Footballers like myself are pissed because he just walked away without a truly legit reason. But, if he feels that it was the right decision, whose to question him? He\'s probably already in Tibet right now.

That 3.5 million will probably flow a lot slower in Asia than it will here...plenty of weed to smoke :)

See Yuz.
What do Kerry Wood, Mark Prior, Matt Clement, and Carlos Zambrano have in common?

They\'re the pieces to the next great pitching rotation of our time, what else?

GO CUBS!

I have no link, just random thoughts that popped into my head.  I just think he\'s an ass for leaving his team and fans just hanging like that.  Not a very classy move if you ask me.  Why did he wait until like 1 week before training camp starts and all the decent FA\'s are already snatched up.

And no, I don\'t have him on my fantasy team.  I think Vid does.  (laughs)
