Catholics believe that the host is really the body of Christ and the wine is the blood (when the blessing is given). Does this mean that makes them canibals if it really is the body/blood of Christ? I\'ve wondered this for some time.

Its more of a rhetorical question. I grew up catholic, my mom is catholic and I was always taught that we eat Jesus\'s body and drink his blood. It kind of seems like symbolic canibalism.
