Saw the trailer for jet li hero. Looks pretty good. I heard there is a
NTSC DVD of the movie for purchase. I have searched the net and have not been able to fine it.

The movie hits theaters 08/27/04
Should be good.

I got the DVD from a friend.

The vivid colors are nice and the story is decent. It\'s definitely worth a look.

I hated the fight in the water though. I know it\'s an "art" film, but bah, it looks stupid, imo.

Yeah Ive been waiting for this movie too. Soul Reaver, would you say its better than Kill Bill?

Yeah I see they have the ntsc verison on ebay. I get payed on monday I may put in my bid. They had it for 9.95 same price as a movie ticket.

I\'ve had this movie for over a year now, a very good transfer imo.  Awesome fight scenes but the story is a tad weak, pretty much the usual for chop socky flicks.

Worth a blind buy if you\'re a Jet Li fan.

I think they are a bit too different though. I liked Kill Bill better, however.

Kill Bill was more entertaining than Hero I think as well:

Uma Thurman: KB
Action: Hero

So yea, they are too different to directly compare :D

Well it has very little to do with KB anyway, as the movie has been out for a long time just not here. I wouldnt even consider buying this on film now or before, after hearing about its theatrical re release. Its always a better experience in a theater, and it only happens once (usually).

Had it for awhile. It\'s fairly good. I recommend it, if you dig arthouse / wire-fu Japanese flicks.

I liked it. I thought the action and the use of colors was great.

If you are still looking for a DVD of the movie check out hkDVDstore.com  that is where I get most of my dubbed movies. They have a great selection.
