Anybody Else In Here Into Bodybuilding???
« on: August 17, 2004, 01:28:59 AM »
You know...like competitions and that sorta thing? I\'ve been doing it for a while now. My personal fav hall of famer is Frank Zane. That\'s the look I\'m trying to go for.

But anyway...seriously though. I\'m just curious to see if anyone else is into this. And nobody reply with..."bodybuilding is stupid" or some lame ass crap.

Did you miss the thread where a handful of us made a website to track each other\'s progress for working out?  Click my homepage if you\'re interested in joining.  Just a project so far, if it works I plan on adding some stuff to it.

I know omen is a big health nut.  I hear he has manboobs bigger than Lord Nicon.  I just lift weights to try and stay in shape.

Well I really got into running to drop a few pounds and found out that I really love the sport.  Once I graduate bootcamp I\'ll pick up body building and take it more serioiusly, especially since running depletes muscle.  I used to lift weights in highschool and during football but didnt take things serious enough to get big  gains.  I didnt have a clue what I was doing and would usually work the same muscle 2-3 days in a row, not to mention the fact I wasnt taking any protein to help my muscles grow.  So when I get back from boot Im going to purchase a body building book and hopefully get that lean muscle mass I would like to have...as for competitions I doubt I\'ll ever get into any of those.
It\'s only funny until someone gets hurt...then it\'s hillarious.

Well that\'s cool. At least you wanna at least try to "hulk up". When you take the protein, ur body only accepts it the most up to 90 minutes after you work out, and ur not supposed to eat anything an hour or more after you work out because it competes with your body\'s ability to recover, so a protein shake is light enough on ur digestive system so that it won\'t compete, and you\'ll get all the nutrients you need.

Also, it doesn\'t matter what protein you buy, I don\'t give a crap what it says on the bottle, it\'s all the same. Just get what tastes good.

Also, a good thing to eat when you bulk up is eggs. There isn\'t a very big percentage of weight to protein ratio, but the absorbency rate is 96%, and it has all the essential aminos. And eat lots of carbs in the morning as well. Not Pop Tart carbs...but like bagel and Raisin Bran carbs.

Anyway...I sound like a robot spouting off randomly and ready to explode, I was just giving you some "nifty tidbits"...that\'s right...I SAID TIDBITS!!! :D

The whole point of the page isn\'t about the front pic, but I guess it\'d be cool with Arnold Schwarzenegger on the front or something...

I wanted to get the most :ghey:est picture possible.  I have that pic in some pretty big size, it\'s very cool.

If someone can find me a total fruitcake with muscles I\'ll consider changing it.  It\'s to keep the hetereos away.
