I used to lift weights in highschool and during football but didnt take things serious enough to get big gains. I didnt have a clue what I was doing and would usually work the same muscle 2-3 days in a row, not to mention the fact I wasnt taking any protein to help my muscles grow. So when I get back from boot Im going to purchase a body building book and hopefully get that lean muscle mass I would like to have...as for competitions I doubt I\'ll ever get into any of those.
Well that\'s cool. At least you wanna at least try to "hulk up". When you take the protein, ur body only accepts it the most up to 90 minutes after you work out, and ur not supposed to eat anything an hour or more after you work out because it competes with your body\'s ability to recover, so a protein shake is light enough on ur digestive system so that it won\'t compete, and you\'ll get all the nutrients you need.
Also, it doesn\'t matter what protein you buy, I don\'t give a crap what it says on the bottle, it\'s all the same. Just get what tastes good.
Also, a good thing to eat when you bulk up is eggs. There isn\'t a very big percentage of weight to protein ratio, but the absorbency rate is 96%, and it has all the essential aminos. And eat lots of carbs in the morning as well. Not Pop Tart carbs...but like bagel and Raisin Bran carbs.
Anyway...I sound like a robot spouting off randomly and ready to explode, I was just giving you some "nifty tidbits"...that\'s right...I SAID TIDBITS!!!
