damn i was hoping they would\'ve continued the storyline from part two..the ending left so many questions unanswered...
MGS2\'s value is literaturalistic (if there is such word). The ending doesnt matter if it left many questions. Its the messages that Kojima wanted to transfer to gamers that count. There are certain books with similar endings and characteristics.Unfortunately I cant remember the titles.Specifically there was one which involved people that no one knew, with great power that controlled everything in a nation.
It ended without revealing anything about them on who they are.Probably Kojima was inspired from that book since he loves books.
If you remember well the Patriots said:
SPOILER ALERTTo begin with -- we\'re not what you\'d call -- human.
Over the past two hundred years --
A kind of consciousness formed layer by layer in the crucible of the White House.
It\'s not unlike the way life started in the oceans four billion years ago.The White House was our primordial soup, a base of evolution --
We are formless. We are the very discipline and morality that Americans invoke so often.
Kojima personalized, gave a personality to the disciplines and moralities that were formed and evolved with history. These that automatically have some control to people\'s thinking, behaviour and acting in a nation and are passed from generation to generation for years since the beginning of that nation\'s history. Its something visible in every nation.Kojima choose US because its the best example of a powerful country.
I doubt we will see a sequel explaining the "they all died 100 years ago" unless Kojima is forced to change the story because some gamers dont seem to get it
