InfoPath - Form Library Question...
« on: August 24, 2004, 01:18:26 PM »
I have created a number of forms using InfoPath.  I then uploaded the .xml files to a sharepoint form library - i was not able to fill out the forms from any computer other than the one the .xsn files were originally.

I then decided that I needed to "Publish" instead of
"Fill out Form" - "Save As..." and then selecting .xml.

This works, but I have to create a form library for every form on the intranet.

In short this is what I want...
I have forms such as, inventory, absence request, travel reimbursement that I want employees to be able to go to a form library - select a form - fill it out - e-mail it to the director - that\'s it...

Maybe I do not know the definition of a form library - I do not want employees to fill out a template, but just select a form and fill it out and select "Send".

I do not want different versions of a form created once a user fills a particular form out.

Maybe InfoPath is not the answer?

edit...

I have both the .xsn and .xml files for each form I want to be made available on an intranet for employees to simply fill out and e-mail...

Can I somehow create a Web page using the forms that I have already created.

I have tried the "Export to Web" feature, but the Date Pickers etc. do not function with the .mht files that InfoPath creates.

Thanks...
