Two russian planes missing.

Another link. The Hijack Warning light came on. Fishy indeed. I fail to see the point in hijacking a plane and crashing it to the ground and what it accomplishes.

Update: The Russians are not sure its a terrorist attack, they have not found any evidence of it so far, still they are not ruling out the possibility.

Basically they want an independent Chechnya.

Chechen separatists still claim an independent Chechnya and have orchestrated attacks in Chechnya and other regions of Russia, including Moscow. A decade of war has left most of Chechnya under the control of the federal military.

If you remember, they tried to blow up a theatre in Moscow. In the end it resulted in the death of all 50 terrorists and 120 civilians.

The way they did it made sense. They shot in knock out gas, but some really potent stuff, and then ran in and shot any terrorists while they slept. The only bad thing was that the ko gas was lethal to children and elders. It didn\'t really kill healthy adults.

Update: Traces of explosives have been found on the wreckage on one of the planes.

Also on the radio they mentioned that a Islamistic website has posted a statement of them claiming responsibility.

I hope Russia retaliates now. They are a strong military country and they could have an impact against terrorism.
