Help me please someone. This is the situation. I like this girl a lot, I am not in love with her(yet). My best friend is totally in love with her. Last Saturday at a party she made a move on me. We had been looking at eachother for the last couple of weeks and she took the final step. I told her that I didnt want my friend to see us togheter so we decided to talk when we were not drunk. I have spend a lot of time talking to my friend and I have come to the conclusion that I cant get involved in a relation with her at this time. I will tell her that I want to spend time with her and get to know her better and hopefully my friend might get over her in time. This girl has told my best friend that she is not interested in him at all.
When she started at the Universtity last year she fall in love with me but I was not ready at all. I was in the middle of a hard seperation. So, am i doing the right thing here or what?

You first need to find out if the chick follows rule number one.  If she doesn\'t follow rule number one then it certainly isn\'t worth risking your friendship over.

Ah... the whole, "Bro\'s before Ho\'s" ideaology. Well I\'ve never encountered a situation where me and a friend were into the same chick, but I have blown off my friends for a girl so many times. Its definitely one of my vices; but I always expect my friends to understand my reasoning.

Honestly though, she likes you. It may be so that you\'re friend may be in love with her, however if she doesn\'t feel the same way at all, then its time for him to move on. You have got to talk to him though... don\'t wait any longer, and just tell him how you and the girl feels. Keep in mind, that if you and this girl does hookup, undoubtedly your friend will develop a chip on his shoulder. This is all the shit you have to realize you\'re now risking by getting involved with this girl. Do whatever is most important to you.

If it causes a serious strain on a friendship, don\'t do it.  Girls will come and go, but friendships last longer.  Unless you\'re gonna be spending the rest of your life with a chick, don\'t put her before your friends.

I would say talk to your friend and tell him what\'s going on. If he was your friend, he\'d back off and be happy for you. But then again, he may bottle his feelings inside and be a nuisance. I still say try talking to him and tell him how you feel about her.

Bah I ve been in the same uncomfortable situationI am sure that if at the end she doesnt like him and ends up with you your friendship will no longer be the same.Love screws with the mind and it sure is screwing your friends mind.You cant just speak to him and then everything would be ok.You cant tell yourself not to be in love from one day to the next.
