« on: September 01, 2004, 08:16:32 PM »
does the DVD recorder have the same copy protect as VCRs??? I bought a DVD recorder and am wondering if I record something off my ps2 (a movie/game) will it the screen fade in and out???

I am thinking about recording some of my gameplay (especailly FFXI to edit on my PC).

I know why watch a Movie on the PS2 when  I have the DVD player.......

nevermind I must have looked over it, it has MACROVISION...........
still shouldnt mes up my PS2 recording right?

PS2 *games* don\'t have macrovision.  Movies are another story.

If you want an easier solution buy a $40 capture card and you can play and record directly on the puter.  And of course you can use something like DVD Decrypter to backup your DVDs for a perfect digital copy.
