In terms of skill I dont disagree. The theme and capturing the spirit of the things that make you love your country are all wrong.
Perhaps its the fact that I dont put patriotism and love for a country in the same category and the artist seems to blend them together as one thing. The first for me has to do with just being proud for your country just because you were born into it.Which is all wrong.
The second one for me has to do with culture, cililization and knowledge
Only the second, fourth and fifth pics do something for me.
The second one ofcourse is nothing but a histrorical rundown of all the presidents of the US.But a president doesnt have necessarilly to do with patriotism or loving your country.Bad and good predidents excist in every country\'s history. Its a good painting though as a historical rundown
The fourth I like it because old hollywood movies had more to do with the social life in America, they tried to capture some kind of spirit of the virtues that every old family tried to transfer to the younger generation. And he was an actor of these old movies.I like that in that president. He has something that stands out from the rest for me as a recent president.Movies arent the best example of culture (especially the movies that come out today) but then again considering that the USA\'a history isnt old it does something.
The Elvis pic for me has nothing to do again with patriotism. He was a famous USA singer the King of rock and roll.He is one of those great personalities worth remembering in a country.
An artist that is trying to show patriotism is not an artist IMO.Its easier.I mean look. Some of them are war themed.Nothing to do with civilisation, culture, knowledge, happy memories or anything worth trying to keep alive. It mostly resembles propaganda, nationalism and chauvinism. Its wrong.
