Patriotic portraits by a Korean artist
« on: September 01, 2004, 08:41:16 PM »
I was in Woodland Hills killing time in a mall during lunch, and I walked into what I thought was an art store.  It turned out to be an art gallery, which you don\'t normally find in a mall. :)  I looked at a few oil paintings, and then this little Korean guy comes over and tells me in disjointed english that he was the artist, and every painting in the store was done by him.

I was not greatly enthusiastic about the subject of these portraits, but I had to admit that the quality and detail was impressive.  It seems he has executed many of these images, even the complex montages, in different scales.  He has a large version, and then a smaller version below it on the wall.  Both are obviously originals, but they are absolutely identical in composition.  I found that a little disconcerting, but if it\'s profitable for him, I can\'t complain.

Anyway, I thought some of you Republicans would enjoy this.  :D

His website is here:  http://www.minrhee.com/

This one almost made me want to vomit.  :p

I don\'t remember Andre Jackson looking like Beavis\'.

On another note. Has anyone ever noticed this?

Does anyone else see a resemblance? It may just be these pics because not many pics of Jackson look like John Kerry.

We are in good hands.  :)

Kerry is not known as an Indian figher or a duellist, but other than that, their careers are remarkably similar!  :p

That is pretty much the same thing as picture 1, which you didn\'t seem to like.

Besides, you know, being American and serving in the Armed Services. I see what you are saying though. He was popular around the world so that means his american citizenship was null and void.

In the first pic, in the lower right hand corner, what is that Arab doing?

Waving the US flag or destroying it?
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

I\'d still vote Frankenstein over Kerry.
