Final Fantasy XI. Console born game turned pc. A bit of both worlds. Actually i couldnt recomend much but diablo was ok when it first came out. It really all depends like mm mentioned.

Actually. Scratch FFXI off of there. Even if you might like the game. it would be a bit iffy considering its not just an RPG and you have to pay to play even after you buy it i believe.

Morrowind can be boring. But it depends on how you play it. I loved stealing expensive shit and assasinating people.

Fallout 1 & 2.

KOTOR is also good if you haven\'t tried it on Xbox.

go with baldur\'s gate
older game so its easy on the resources(i.e. good for a laptop)
and its the only rpg thats interested me in the slightest which should be reason enough alone

Fallout 1 and 2 are great and you can pick them up for dirt cheap.  I got both of them over a year ago for 10 bucks.
Wrong. There are two other people who can.

The original Baldur\'s Gate: Forgotten Realm is for Windows 95/98/ME. Damnit.

EDIT: Now that I looked into it, all the BG\'s are for Windows 95/98/2000 or ME. aint that a bitch.

ANOTHER EDIT: well what a coincedence, so are both Fallouts.
