You guys are brutal. :D  I\'ve been in 3 crashes so far; one in high school from a fellow male classmate who was speeding, and then 2 mid-age women.  The women mistakes were just stupid and they weren\'t thinking.  The male teenager was just going too fast but saw what was going to happen and slammed on his brakes.

Of the two women one admitted it was her fault, and one REALLY tried to pin it on me.  Neither of us had witnesses so since there was a conflict of story we each just paid for our own damages.  Mine was about $600, her\'s about $1350 to her brand new Honda Element.  Muhahaha she even called my insurance agent trying to bully her into paying by saying she\'s a cop.

Oh yeah, glad you\'re ok Luke. :)

:screwy: The light is usually the same on opposite sides of the intersection... unless there are left turn arrows.

We do have left turn arrows here... BUT they always come before the opposite side gets a green light.


Meaning if she had a green arrow, I would have had a red light for at least 3 or 4 minutes.

Theres no frickin\' way I\'m driving towards a light which I can clearly see for a good 45 seconds, and it\'s red the whole time, and I just fly through it.

I\'m a damn good defensive driver, I\'ve never run a red light in my entire life, much less one where I had close to a minute to stare at before I ran it.



What I think happened was.....

We both had a green light, she misjudged how much time she hada to turn and hit me.

or...


She might have thought I was also in the left turn lane, and was expecting me to slow and turn left in front of her.



Either way, I KNOW I didn\'t run a red light... I was going straight, she was turning into my path and she frickin\' creamed me.

Stupid suburbs. The only ones ill even touch on a semi regular bassis are Evanston, Skokie, Beverly, and Calumet Park. There are a few others but mostly Evanston and Skokie. Im a northern boy. I hate the west side and i can tolerate the south side (depening on where). Not that it really matters.
