Oh yes!  Another instance today.  In speech class today my teacher ask us to announce our name for attendance then make a statement on the debate.  If it was a pro kerry comment she was like ok, thank you.  If it was pro bush she would continue to jar at you, asking why 10 times in a row.  Well this, why?  Well this, why?  In a class that has nothing to do with politics she is trying to indoctrinate us.

Students were even about to start leaving.  A guy said he wanted Kerry to give him a reason to vote for him since he didn\'t like Bush, but that Kerry was very vague in his ideas.  She then goes on to say when was Kerry vague ever, why would you even begin to think that.  For god sakes I hate college teachers.

I\'m having a problem putting the whole situation on paper but you get the idea.  Suprisingly my class is majority for Bush, frankly I\'m amazed.

It\'s silly to be a staunch supporter of either.   America is a conservative nation and these candidates actually AREN\'T THAT DIFFERENT FROM EACH OTHER in the big scheme of things.  They both want nicer school, better healthcare, and even want our troops to come back from Iraq.  They just have different ways of going about it.

People that will mock a stranger because they don\'t vote the same way they do is just sad.  Mind your own damn business.

So many thing i could agree on and debate but its true that many university teachers are pro kerry and the so-called upper echelon is pro bush. I also hate the fact that so many kids these days are just swinging off Kerry\'s nuts like its nothing. I mean DAMN. Its their bread and butter. Not only that but the swinging gets so hard that its commonplace to HATE bush and every single thing he does. And if you dont, then theres a problem.

Its a ****ing trend to Love kerry and Hate bush among students that dont have republican parents. I mean most of you know that im not all pro bush either but i dont swing on Kerry\'s nuts, nor do i hate every damn thing about bush. These kids are incorrigible.

And then there are those kids that swing on Bush\'s nuts. Half of them are so damn fed up with the damn dems that they are half nuts themselves. I was talking to my neighbor who\'s family happens to be local (and fairly well known) political figures, and out of nowhere one of my other neighbors dumb ass kids comes around how he hate democrats and all this other bullshit. I asked him why he hates democrats etc. and he says because his parents are republicans .

This has to be one of the craziest elextions but its partially because of the closeness of last election that so many people are edgy and hate bush etc etc.  In a sense i cant wait for it to be over but hopefully when it is, things will be in order for both the current and future.

meh.

I got into one really heated debate around the time of the RNC in August. Giga read it. I still get into some heated debates with liberal friends. I\'ve debated with my girlfriend about the war but that\'s the most recent.

I don\'t think either side is doing anything to be "Trendy" and thinking that is pretty ignorant.

With that said, college students are not little kids. If your in college and can\'t deal with some debating without it corrupting your young fragile minds, then perhaps it is your fault.  Political discussion is not bias. But if a teacher cannot realize they ARE NOT ALWAYS RIGHT, they shouldn\'t be a teacher. But that would be a personal issue not a wide-spread issue.

My best bet is you haven\'t been in college.  Especially considering it\'s not a debate when your teacher forces their ideals on you, which is 95% of the time.

I live in Austin and I see a crap load of Kerry supporters, being it is a very liberal city, it makes me sick every time I see a Kerry/Edwards sticker, I even was helping a woman at work once and she had a W with an circle slash through it once, and I really didn\'t want to help her, one for she was a bitch and the other was her button.

Just relate experiences - don\'t insult each other on a personal level in this thread please.  I know it is difficult not to toss out a jab here and there, but please try and keep it to a minimum.

If you really feel you must comment on someone\'s actions, please explain why you disagree with their action - don\'t just insult them.  Thanks.

Seriously, it doesn\'t make sense for you to hate someone because they support a different political candidate. They fact that you didn\'t want to help someone because they were wearing a pin is ridiculous. Why would someone supporting a candidate other than your own make you sick?

Unfortunately it does in this election anyway.  That is why I started this thread - to point how much this election is effecting people and how passionate some are about both candidates.  I wasn\'t singling your post out - I have to edit my posts repeatedly to try not to say the same things some times.  Believe me I know its hard not to post a simple two sentence attack in response.

Anyway, this is good way to relate our own experiences and take a step back for a second to see how we and others perceive what we do.

You missed the part where he said she was a b*tch...
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

Umm I never said I hated her, Black Sam, and don\'t go around talking shit to me when you don\'t even ****ing know me from something other than a forum.

And let me further explain it, the woman was being a complete bitch and was being difficult, it further along made me sick to try and help this woman on a stand point of being able to look at her hippy self and think this woman is a complete idiot, not because of her politics totally, but because of the situation I had to deal with her. She wanted to fill in her wood floor and she wanted to match it right, she didn\'t bring a sample, what do you want me to do make magic with nothing. Explain a little better??? I was just going along with the thread, and yes it makes me sick with these people running around Austin like Giga said about the woman in the movie theater, they all seem to be like that, and this woman was one of them, without even speaking I could tell this from her.
