R.IP. -Christopher Reeve is dead.
« on: October 10, 2004, 09:41:06 PM »
The news just broke that a man that made people believe he could fly has just died. While the family has not made an official announcement (one is expected at 6:00 am), Christopher Reeve has passed away.

I don\'t normally do these threads for famous people, but I feel Christopher Reeve was a legend. He not only defined one of the most iconic roles, he also pushed ahead for stem cell research for those that are paralizyed.

DOB: 25 September 1952

Only 18 years old? :(  I guess his accident really shortened his life.

comes in threes i guess. Ken Caminitti died too. Not that important to other places but he was pretty big in San Diego. Plus a lot of people felt bad for him as is since he just got arrested so he was on peoples minds even without his death.

You are now on my hate list. If you don\'t know who Christopher Reeve is, then you should be ashamed of yourself .

I actually feel bad for his death mainly because of the hope he brought to the parapalegic community.

The dude made outstanding strides and never gave up.

It\'s a shame that he was never able to walk again.

Exactly. I never post in these threads, but I actually felt sad when I heard the breaking news. Not only did he define a  role, he also never gave up in the real world. He was a true Superman until the end. He gave hope to those in the parapalegic community. For Christopher , the parapalegic community and many of fans, it was not if he would walk again, it was a matter of when he would walk again. So many people would of given up after his accident, but he didn\'t. Not only did he not give up, he pushed ahead .

Damn, what a shame.. Only 52. :(

I have recently started to discover his movies, he was a good actor IMO.
