What to do w/$1000?

I have some extra money although I know I should save it I always like buying new toys and wanted some feedback. :o  Here are my choices:

1) B&W 604s3 speakers. link
- pros: sweet sound for $$$
- cons: I\'ll end up wanting to spend more for an outboard amp + sacd/dvd-a player

2) Small workout station with punching bag. pics
- pros: even more sex appeal & only $120
- cons: I fear it\'ll end up like other workout equipment I\'ve bought... dusty.

3) 6800GT
- pros: Half Life 2 enjoyment
- cons: Dropping $400 on a nerdy vid card

4) Repaint car/prostitute
- pros: black 96 maxima has a lot of scratches to be fixed
- cons: scratches are expected on a 9 yr old car, and winter\'s coming up

5) Save it for a rainy day.

6) Put it in the freezer.

Any input or :ghey: commentary?  I primarily wish to learn which of these purchases will earn me some respect on PSX2C.  And just fyi I don\'t have a GF ($_$) because I could never find condoms small enough.

SIRI just fell again because they released millions of new shares of stock.  It is projected to be over 5 before the end of the year.  You could gain about 300 bucks.  

THey are also predicting that by 06 the stock will probably be over 10.

Well, I guess that depends on how much booze and how many hookers he wants.

Personally I would go for cheap beer and homeless people.

if you\'re a computer gamer, buy the 6800gt and save the rest.  But if you\'re not a hardcore computer gamer I wouldn\'t go that route.

all I can say is Vegas and black if you win take the 1000 you won go out to Sheri\'s Ranch and bang the hell out of about 4 Hookers back to town get yourseld drunk and then the other 1000 into the bank

If you loose: well think of it this way you really get screwed either way.

I agree to an extent. Depending on his setup the Ultra may suit him or may not. I will settle for the GT, as I can\'t justify the extra price for an Ultra.

The Ultra just isn\'t needed right now.. its just for benchmark whores.

mmm I think I\'ll spring for the GT and offset the cost by selling my 5900.  thanks for the advice.

ps- Any huge difference between Elsa, eVGA, BFG, and Gigabyte?
