HL2 = gold (at least that\'s what they say...)

According to Gamespot (can\'t be bothered to link, find it yourself ) the rumor that HL2 has gone gold is true.

I guess we\'ll soon find out anyway.

Now what GFX card should I get...

Besides my PC isn\'t really high-end any more. I\'ll guess it\'s a match between:

1) ATI 9800 Pro/XT (cheap if bought used)
2) Geforce 6600 GT (seems like a good choice for the money)
3) Geforce 6800 (most expensive, but the fastest of the three)

I only got a Geforce 3 right now, so any of the above would be a great step up.

Well FINALLY.. Now lets hope Vivendo doesnt hold the game hostage for ever.

PLEASE release it this month, before San Andreas would be the best. After SA is released Im not sure I have time for other games.

You can find a 6800 brand new for $249, the BFG version I believe... which comes slightly overclocked.



I\'m either getting that one or the LeadTek, cause it comes with a beast of a copper heatsink that also covers the RAM chips.. great for overclocking.
