Wow, just let it go, Knotter.  I honestly don\'t know where you got the impression that U.S. game mags/sites are out to get Euro developers.

Back to the review...there is a discussion going on in other forums and somebody mentioned that Guerilla had shipped out an incomplete Killzone three months ago for review and some have come to believe this is what Ivan has reviewed.  They say this because Ivan apparently commented on several things he claims were not in the game that are confirmed to be in the final build.  Another speculation is that Ivan is a Halo fanboy.

If it is the case that he did indeed review an incomplete build of the game, then I hope this complete build looks a whole lot better then this.  I just watched the video review and he doesn\'t apologize for his text review, but rather reiterates that although he is bashing the game left and right, there is plenty to like.  It\'s just not the complete package that it could have been.

IGN loved Operation Flashpoint, a kickass game made in Europe.  I thought it was great, regardless of origin.

I knew Killzone was overhyped, Halo killer etc...  Just like Halo, the hardware hurts it but the story, characters, and AI make it fun.  Only thing is the Xbox haters complaining about 30fps will now be playing under that when they pop in Killzone. :p

I got the demo and it looks better than the videos thank god. Not spectacular but its undeniably good. The game plays alright and feels a little bit slow. The aiming felt wierd too for some odd reason - maybe its just because i havent played a console FPS in a long time. Either way it seems well worth a rent.

Ok, I\'m sorry. I apologize, I went a bit too far ranting the USA - Euro thing.

Mmm, this Mr. Ivan is also quite controversial at the IGN Metal Gear boards. They obviously do NOT like him. Certainly becuz of his statement on \'how\' he will go into reviewing MGS3, when he was confirmed as the IGN editor to review Snake Eater.
Maybe he\'s IGN\'s \'Greg Kasavin\'.  lol.

But so far most ppl who had playtime with Killzone\'s latest build are nothing but positive...so...

I just received PSM2 UK, Killzone got a 88.. A very good score in this magazine, since they are very strict. :)

That’s now a 9/10 in OPS2M UK, a 88 in PSM2 and a 7.5 from IGN (does not count ;) ) .. I remember it being reviewed in a US PS2 mag, but I cant remember the score? Either it was a 4.5 or a 5 out of 5.

Yeah, 88 outta 100 seems way more in line with the positive sounds from the latest preview build. I guess IGN Ivan got a crappy \'final\' version then eh.

The mag I read, Power Unlimited is also very positive. They say the game doesn\'t do anything revolutionary, but what it does it does very well and with style. Comparison to Halo is null and void.

They were pleasantly surprised by Killzone\'s mult- player mode btw.

It should be in stores 3rd of December here in it\'s home country Holland ; a slight delay. This is imo indicative of the probability that Ivan did indeed not get the best final code.

Gamespy reviews Killzone.  Seems like this reviewer didn\'t favor the graphical glitches and poor A.I. either...3/5

http://ps2.gamespy.com/playstation-2/killzone/562748p1.html

Alot of people are still suggesting that the final build was not reviewed.  I\'ll check it out for myself when I can find it for rent...

They just said look for it later in the week.

I\'ve already heard from several people who own it that the game is not bad, however it\'s far from perfect, and from their brief play time with it that they agree more or less with the reviews from IGN and Gamespy.
