Are you still buying games for your older systems?

I had found Astal on ebay last week and decided it might be worth dusting off my Saturn.  The game is a beautiful 2d platform game, the hand drawn look is awesome and the music is great.  It\'s taking me a while to get used to the gameplay, though it is simple I\'ve been out of the 2d loop for a while, but it made me realize how much I miss 2d games.

I\'m going to start looking for more games I\'ve either passed up or had sold and now have an urge to play.  Rayman comes to mind, I\'ve played both sequels without ever having played the original, I think I\'ll pick that up next.

I think it all started when I found Wario\'s Woods, originally for the NES, in Animal Crossing just recently.  I\'ve been playing the addictive puzzle game for days now. (and yes I\'m still playing Animal Crossing nearly two years later:p)  It makes me want to pick up Tetris Attack and Tetrisphere again...regrets ever selling off my SNES+games, I had only rented Tetrisphere but always wanted to pick it up

EDIT: Remembered I never got around to playing Panzer Dragoon Saga.  Found it on ebay and all the "buy it now" are over $100!  I\'m keeping an eye on some of the bids.

Can\'t find Rayman by itself for the Saturn.  Some guy is selling it with several other games I\'m not interested in.

That was the first game I picked up for my Saturn.  Your right, it\'s a beautiful 2D game.  I wish I never sold my Saturn, but I still have my Dreamcast and all my games.

Did you ever beat it?  I\'m finding it kind of difficult, I was at the Sea of Clouds just now and I got a game over:(

I usually just download ROMs, as I no longer have the games I used to play. It\'s good to go back and relive some old experiences...especially with the NES :)

The ROMs always look like @ss compared to the original though...at least on my POS computer...

Got a copy of Astal also. :)

I haven\'t bought any older games as of late, but my collection is rather large.  You all need to pick up \'Burning Rangers\' for the Saturn , a great game that is often overlooked. Another one is \'Guardian Heroes\', which is a Treasure classic.

I have Guardian Heroes, my friends and I played that one alot.

I\'m still looking for PDS. I\'ve looked up some reviews for it and they were all really good, seems it became a collector\'s item because it was released in limited quantities.

I remember hearing about Burning Rangers, I think that\'s the one from Sonic Team, no?  If so then I\'ll definitely pick it up, there\'s not a Sonic Team game I don\'t like.

Okay, I beat Astal, it took a lives cheat to do it but I beat it.  What an amazing game, really makes me wonder what Sega would have done had they stuck with the idea of making Saturn the ultimate 2d machine.

Don\'t bother looking for a copy of PDS under $100...
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

I came up with a few games I want for my Saturn...

Rayman
Panzer Dragoon Saga
Dragon Force
Albert Odysee
Nightwarriors
Burning Rangers
Mortal Kombat II
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3

I\'m also thinking of getting some of the Street Fighters for it.

Other games I\'m watching out for...

Tetris Attack (SNES)
Tetrisphere (N64)
Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (SNES)
Yoshi\'s Story (N64)
...
