I\'m getting some vertical wavy lines that are usually only visible in very dark scenes, with my projector.  I tried plugging into a different circuit if it were a ground loop, tried different input devices, unplugged everything on the circuit to see if it was interfering, unplugged the audio, but nothing helped.  I even tried a cheater plug (a non grounded adapter) to see if that would help with the interference, but nope.  Any ideas

Try it on all inputs?  See if it happens on component or VGA from a progressive source.  A long shot but it may be a side effect of the deinterlacer.  Also may be a cheap cable.

Sounds like you tried everything with possible power problems but it never hurts to try it when almost everything is off in your house (A/C, fridge, chainsaw, etc..).

If all else fails post your question at AVS  or get an RMA # from Dell.

well, I just did a reset of all my settings on the projector, unplugged everything in my house practically, and no lines.  Tomorrow when I have more energy, I\'ll check it more thuroughly.  But it seems as though the factory reset did it for some damned reason.

god damnit, it\'s still doing it.  I went down and bought a Monster Cable surge protector and noice filter ($80) and it has helped ZERO percent.  It\'s driving me insane.

I think it\'s your projector... it\'s LCD right? And ... Dell or something?

I\'m not sure there\'s anything - sans returning it - that\'ll help.
RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAPETIME!
(thanks Chizzy!)

well, I just hooked up my pc to it, and used Windvd and no problem.  So I think I\'m going to just buy a long ass VGA cable and be done with the whole ordeal.
