That is more than all other countries combined. World bank is giving 250 million, but al others combined are only 250 million

Indonesia, which suffered the worst devastation, would likely be the greatest beneficiary of debt relief. It owes the Paris Club around $40 billion and is the largest debtor in the disaster zone, according to the World Bank.

i thought it stated france gave around 20 mil? in any case bush thought these countries didn\'t contribute troops to iraq then stated "yee haw" these varmits actually did send troops to iraq! let me send some mo money down there i reckon!.....j/k

35 million was quite small for such a wealthy nation, but you cant blame them, that figure surfaced pretty early during the disaster, when no one knew of the huge scale.

And yeah, France has probably given more now, but when everyone was bitching about our measily 35 million (After the 15) France had barely pledged 100 grand.

My point was that we AREN\'T giving WAY more than everyone else to excess like I had thought. We are always going to give more because we are a caring country that has a fat wallet.

I wonder how much money is really donated when you count personal donations.

Looking at some of those satellite pictures I just don\'t see what you can do but light the whole country on fire and start over. unbelievable.
