Opening bank robbery scene in Swordfish would be the only reason to own it.  And maybe Halle Berry but eh.

the difference?

Well it\'s the difference of 480p and 1080i.  It\'s quite big.

FOX use to broadcast in 480p, but in September they jumped to HD.  It is a pretty big difference.

I for one will not be buying and titles I already own.  It\'s not that big.  I will however stop buying titles pretty soon.

Blu Ray and HD-DVD supports up to 1080p with 60 fps....

film are only 24 fps and 1080p will dow 3-2 pulldown, so if in the future you own 1080p tv, you won\'t have to worry about interlace signal....

so are next generation videogames running at a smooth 1080p/60....:nerd:

Damn already own most of them. Well except catwoman. Will old type dvds play on the new players? Would hate to start collection over again. Probably wouldn\'t.

HAVEN\'T YOU EVER BEEN TO WALMART???

Well, the HDTV\'s are usually near the normal tvs and you can certainly tell a huge difference in quality.  If my dad could afford it, I think he would buy one for every room in our house :p

Actually at walmart and many retail locations they don\'t show true HD.  THey are showing a DVD loop from a 480p player.

Although I think it\'s becoming a little more common for best buy, etc. to show HD Net and Discovery HD.
