welcome to last year mm.

I find it amusing that u say that. If only the other 20 million aussies read that reply too. We\'d all have a "laughing at mm" day.  I kinda get the feeling thats the norm in your everyday life anyway.   We could even make it a public holiday.

no points for u.

well technically in order to be a holliday it has to be a special day, and since everyone already laughs at mm it would be a little usless to have a day devoted to it.  ;)

Yeah, I was thinking about that as well. But I\'d want the black version. But today I checked prices for 10D (mostly for fun) and to my surprise it costs exactly the same as a black Digital Rebel. Only drawback is that it doesn\'t come with a lens, but I figured I could buy a 2nd hand lens to start out with.

Any thoughts? I like how the 10D is easier to customize and has more features than the DRebel (without firmware hack at least). Also, it\'s a metal body, not plastic. Argh... what to do, what to do. :)

To further expand... I\'d really like the option to use the EF-S lenses as well, but only DRebel and 20D supports those. :(

My wallet says 300D, my brain says 10D and my heart says 20D. :D

Wow....

I think the 300D is the cheapest, the 10D and 20D is out of the question for sure....

Only thing I don\'t like about my camera is no thumb wheel.  It has little buttons instead.  WIth the firm ware hack you have virtually the same camera.

The case feel isn\'t as nice as the more expensive model, but I\'d personally rather take the extra few hundred and put it into a longer lens.

To me it was plenty of camera at 750 bucks to justify not spending over a grand for the more professional model.

One major difference and don\'t know if it effects you is the 10D has better burst rates for taking multiple shots quickly.  I think it does 8.  Not sure about that.  I also think the time between the shots is quicker.  Mine only takes 4 or 5 and there is about 3/4 of a second between shots.  No biggie, just not sure if you were into that.

I enjoy reading

I also enjoy drawing, and oil painting, which i am thinking of doing again. I also collect diecast cars and i am a major movie buff. Seems since the stroke, i spend most of my time reading, surfing ther web, or watching movies.

For a few years i collected comic books but got a little expensive, i have no idea what i have in boxs ! I like the table that is some good looking wood, i like all the knots, the same goes for the clock, i like it. I would love to get into woodworking , however being parilyzed on one side may make it difficult.

Take 1.  Moved the desk in tonight.  Got lots of clean up work around it, but I at least got the old piece of crap out.

So funny.  THe pictures uploaded in reverse order even though I posted the one that says "another one" a minute or so later.  This site blows when it comes to attachments.

well I built myself a new desk upstairs in my office.  6 feet wide, 4 feet deep.  The trim is 10 layers of thin oak and mahogany.

behind the wall I have a ventilation system for my speakers and the computer.  I have 4" pipes going from each speaker and computer into a box with 3 12v fans in it.  The fans have temp sensors so they run at 5v at one temp and 12v at a higher temp.  Draws the heat right out of the room.
