sorry to tear everyone from the heated A+ conversation but does anyone know how I can edit the ID tags on my mp3s en mass
for example I have about 1000 songs who\'s genere I want to change from blank to Rock
any ideas?

iTunes is awesome for that.  Highlight em all, right click > Get Info.  And change the genre to Rock.  You can do the same thing for artist, album, #of tracks, etc...

i was using itunes cause it was so good for editing info and organizing but it didnt know it could do that
