Saw it tonight... meh, mediocre. It had some cool parts. The only thing that saved the movie was the special effects, the plot could have been better.

Doh, I wanted to hear awesome. Oh well, everything Reeves will appear in from this day foward will be compared to The Matrix, therefore all his upcoming shickle will blow. Sad but true.

I was able to watch Equilibrium yesterday night, a film that did not reach Europe. It was pretty interesting though I missed better special effects and a little deep argument, but those are failures proper of lack of money. Watch it.

I\'m going tonight.  I\'ve already read the book and I thought it was really entertaining, however I could understand where it could come off as lame or mediocre.

I know what youre saying. Personally I dont care too much about what other people say because my tastes in movies are completely different than most people that i know. Of course it would help if people were raving about it but hey, either way im going to see it and i still think it looks decent if anything.

I loved it. I thought the story was very good. And they did not screw it up at the end. I thought it was very interesting from start to finish.

I actually want to see it again. Just because I really enjoy things of this nature. And the movie was actually pretty good.

Horrible cuts, terrible pace, and awful acting make for one disappointing movie, imo.  I haven\'t been this upset since Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

I suppose I set myself up for disappointment when I read the book, as is usually the case, but I had hoped since the book is based on the actual screenplay it would be somewhat comparable...so wrong.  I can only assume that either John Shirley (author of the book) went above and beyond the call of duty, or that the director visciously fucked the screenplay.  I\'m going with the latter.

I highly recommend the book to those of you who like the movie, you\'ll get MUCH more out of the story than you could have possibly appreciated with the movie.  My friend, who had not read the book, said the movie felt incomplete in many regards.  I filled him in on some of the missing details and he agrees, the movie is half-assed.

Anyway, the preview for Sin City was very cool. *shrugs

WTF Mate?

I love Prisoner of Azkabam, and the acting was far from shitty.

Well, I can\'t help you other than to remind you that it\'s my opinion.  I found the acting very poor and most of the dialouge(sp?) awkwardly played out.

I\'ve heard that those who only saw the Prisoner of Azkaban movie thought it was good, even the best HP so far.  I read, and absolutely adored, the book though.  The sense of immenent danger, which makes the 3rd book so much fun to read, was lost, and several important details were underplayed or entirely absent.

This is the only thread I\'ve seen anywhere in which the Constantine movie book has been mentioned at all.

Wouldn\'t we all just be better off picking up the first Hellblazer TPB? :)

I\'ve heard good things about the novelization, at least. You can\'t say that about everything.

First I am hearing there is a book for this. But you can\'t ever expect that the movie will be as good as the book. I mean things are always omitted and never elabatered on for various cinema reasons.

I expected it to be as good because both the book and movie are based on the same screenplay.  I only know about it because I spotted the book about three weeks ago when I was browsing for a new read.  It was only 6$ so I figured why not, it can\'t be that different from what I\'m anxiously waiting to see.  The book was fantastic in many regards, but two things of note were the pace at which the story unfolds and the visuals the author manages to convey with words.  It is an intense and frightening read, two things I felt were very much lost in the movie.
